After the last year’s July revolution, it was clear that the Bangldesh economy was in serious troubles. It was characterized by significant fragility and vulnerabilities. So, the challenges were huge. Yet these challenges also provided opportunities to pursue alternatives, to have reforms and to rectify the problems of the past, to build an equitabe Bangladesh.

This book takes that opportunity to put forward analysis, views and projections for the present and the future development panorama of Bangladesh. Its focus is on the contemporary development challenges of Bangladesh. The primary intention of the book is to stimulate public discussions, debates and dialogues among different groups of the society. With such interactions, the roadmap for the future development path of Bangladesh would be identified.
